First of all, very sorry for your loss. Secondly; great article! I love that you also added some lower intensity alternatives like walking and mentioned to keep the HIIT sessions under 20min to decrease the chances of increasing cortisol. The fact that HIIT can actually increase stress levels is not talked about often enough and personally I think this was one contributing factor for my burn-out; HIIT on top of a high stress job really wasn't the best choice. Yoga is also a great low intensity alternative that can actually lower your cortisol levels.
